Propane Industry Programs

People working in the propane industry are required to have a strong knowledge of propane regulations and must have special training in certain areas. The following programs are specialty programs to address this need and meet the requirements of the B149.2-15 Propane Storage and Handling Code. Upon successful completion of this course, students receive a Record of Training (ROT).

Propane Bulk Truck

Course Details

Service station attendants are taught propane basics and how to properly purge and fill a propane cylinder by weight and volume.

Length of Course: 8 Hours
Prerequisites: Appropriate driver's licence
Validity: 3 Years

Inspection of Tanks & Valves

Course Details

This course has been designed for individuals who are conducting a visual inspection of the propane storage tank and pressure relief valve in the field. It is intended for drivers or servicemen who inspect propane containers and relief systems.

Length of Course: 3 Hours
Prerequisites: None
Validity: 3 Years

Cylinder Requalification

Course Details

This course has been designed for individuals who wish to become certified to conduct propane cylinder inspections and requalifications based on the visual inspection method as outlined in the C6 and C6.3 standards. It is intended for workers who inspect and requalify propane cylinders.

Length of Course: 4 Hours
Prerequisites: None
Validity: 3 Years
