CPO Working at Heights

Course Details

This course teaches the principles of fall protection and is mandatory for anyone working at heights on an Ontario construction site. The course Introduces students to the various methods of fall prevention, travel restraint and fall arrest systems. Included are discussions on the use of guardrails, ladders, scaffolds, lifelines and body harnesses. A review will also be done on the proper use of body harnesses, lanyards and shock absorbers.

Length of Course: 1 Day
Prerequisites: None
Validity: 3 Years

CPO Working at Heights Refresher

Course Details

A refresher course for construction personnel who work in areas where they are exposed to fall hazards must be able to recognize those hazards and then implement appropriate measures to eliminate or control them. This course reviews with workers how to incorporate these principles in their activities. Included is a PowerPoint presentation followed by hands-on training with body harnesses. Each student completes a written test and receives a wallet card. An Ontario government approved working at heights certificate must be presented at the time of training as proof of prior completion. 

Length of Course: Half Day
Prerequisites: Full Day Working at Heights Course (Government of Ontario issued certificate required in course)

Validity: 3 Years
